Job Summary:\nThe Marketing and Graphic Design student intern will design and deploy promotional and informational materials to support various needs within University Events. The main focus for this position will be working with the College Business Management Institute (CBMI). Responsibilities include coordinating arrangements for the annual conference to be held the last week of July each summer, at the University of Kentucky. Hundreds of business officers and administrators from colleges and universities across the United States attend. CBMI faculty include university presidents, top‑level administrators, and other experts in a variety of fields.

Projects include but are not limited to:

Print and graphic designs

Managing social media platforms which include LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook

Updating and managing the CBMI website via Drupal

Creating content and banners for the CBMI mobile app

Creating marketing campaigns in Salesforce

Leading a small team on the Marketing and Communications Sub‑Committee

In‑person management of on‑site conference activities

Additional responsibilities may include assisting University Events with other design related projects including, but not limited to, designing standard floor plans and layouts for various buildings across campus, creating graphic designs for in‑house projects, and more. The ideal candidate would be able to commit to working as the Marketing and Graphic Design student intern for at least two years.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:\nStrong graphic design skills; Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or another creative platform; Ability to work autonomously and within a group; Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred but not required.

Preferred Education/Experience:\nThis position is recommended for students pursuing a degree in Integrated Strategic Communication (ISC), Marketing, Communication, Digital Media and Design, or another related field at UK.

The Content Creator at Cotton Craft is responsible for visually telling the story behind our luxury baby gifting experience. This role focuses on capturing authentic, aesthetic, and emotionally engaging content that highlights behind-the-scenes order packaging, new product launches, gift set curation, and unboxing experiences.

The Content Creator will film and photograph real moments—from packing personalized baby gift boxes to showcasing thoughtfully curated gift sets in a way that feels warm, human, and relatable. The goal is to create scroll-stopping content that connects emotionally with viewers while maintaining Cotton Craft’s elevated, boutique aesthetic.

This role requires someone with a strong eye for detail, composition, and storytelling who can bring a “human touch” to our brand—hands-on moments, natural interactions, and lifestyle-style visuals that make our products feel personal, meaningful, and gift-worthy. Content will be used across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, website, and paid ads.

Responsibilities

Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest content trends

Experience capturing unboxing videos, flat lays, and behind-the-scenes workflows

Basic Canva skills for thumbnails, overlays, or simple edits

Understanding of lighting, angles, and staging for product-focused content

Experience creating content intended for ads (UGC-style or organic-to-paid content)

Ability to suggest creative ideas, hooks, and content angles

Comfort appearing on camera or directing others when needed

Qualifications / Skills

Ability to capture high-quality photos and videos using a smartphone or camera

Strong understanding of short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, behind-the-scenes clips)

Ability to create aesthetic content that highlights products in a clean, natural, and elevated way

Comfortable filming hands, people, and lifestyle moments to add a human element to content

Basic video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, InShot, or similar
