Exciting opportunity to join GF Hotels & Resorts and the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel as an Area Director of Revenue Strategy.

Are you an analytical thinker who can create innovative new ways to optimize hotel revenue? That’s exactly who we’re looking for as our next Area Director of Revenue Strategy. You will be in charge of creating and implementing pricing models to better forecast and manage revenue for multiple hotels in a specific territory.

To keep our hotels competitive, you will need to analyze and assess competition pricing and operational strategies, as well as stay informed on market trends. If you want to be an integral part of the revenue growth for our hotel properties, please apply as soon as possible!

This is a hybrid role that will require time at the hotel. Marriott experience required.

Responsibilities

Produce and maintain forecast estimates and pace reports for each property within your region
Check competitor operational strategy continuously, and review their pricing and availability
Hold regular yield management meetings to evaluate past revenue performance and set strategies for future weeks
Manage hotel revenue growth, set performance goals, and implement revenue management plans to keep hotel rates profitable
Compare and verify hotel prices to ensure corporate, group, and negotiated rates are accurate by conducting market research

Qualifications

Must have experience of 2-3 years in revenue management, with some experience overseeing multiple properties preferred
Must possess a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired
Experience with computer programs, such as MS Office, Google Suite, and revenue management software, is essential
Exemplary analytical skills, math skills, and the ability to interpret data are vital
At least 3-5 years of prior hospitality experience

Compensation

$90,000 - $120,000 yearly

Area Director Of Revenue Strategy

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to join our team as an Area Director of Revenue Strategy, supporting The Source Denver and The Marker San Francisco. This pivotal hybrid role involves working both on-site and remotely while overseeing revenue management and commercial strategy for two independent hotels within our portfolio. The Area Director of Revenue Strategy will collaborate closely with property operations and commercial teams to develop and implement comprehensive strategies aimed at maximizing revenue generation, market share, and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of revenue management principles and commercial strategy development.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead the development and implementation of revenue management and commercial strategy initiatives across multiple properties within the portfolio
Conduct regular performance reviews and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of revenue management strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with property general managers, sales directors, and marketing managers to develop and execute integrated sales and marketing campaigns that drive revenue growth and enhance market position.
Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand factors to adjust pricing strategies and optimize revenue potential for each property.
Analyze historical data, booking patterns, and demand forecasts to make informed decisions regarding pricing, inventory allocation, and distribution strategies.
Utilize revenue management systems and tools to generate reports, track performance metrics, and identify opportunities for revenue optimization across the area.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with online travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and other distribution partners to maximize visibility and reach for all properties.
Collaborate with property teams to negotiate and manage contracts with group clients, corporate accounts, and other key revenue-generating accounts.
Stay informed about emerging trends, industry developments, and technological advancements in revenue management and commercial strategy, and incorporate relevant insights into area-wide initiatives.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in revenue management or commercial strategy is preferred.
Proven experience in hotel revenue management and commercial strategy development, with a track record of success in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
Proficiency in revenue management software, commercial strategy tools, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives.
Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving common goals and objectives.
Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business priorities, and the willingness to take initiative and lead change initiatives.
Knowledge of industry regulations, revenue management principles, and commercial strategy best practices.
Previous experience working in a diverse and multicultural hospitality environment is preferred.

Expert in SynXis, and Duetto
Experience in managing revenue strategy for multiple properties or regions within a hotel or hospitality group.
Strong project management skills and the ability to execute complex initiatives within established timelines and budget constraints.
