
The
Finance Director (m/f/d)
is responsible for overseeing the financial health of a multisite operation, ensuring strategic financial planning, investment planning, controlling, budget management, cost control, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role will provide financial leadership to support operational efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.
Your mission:
Develop and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term value creation across the manufacturing site
Oversee financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while delivering clear insights for strategic decision‑making
Monitor and optimize plant costs, analysing raw material expenses, production KPIs, and operational efficiency to drive cost‑saving initiatives
Lead ERP‑related financial processes, ensuring effective system implementation, data integrity, and continuous process improvements (e.g. SAP FI/CO)
Support business transformation, managing the financial aspects of change initiatives such as process redesigns, system upgrades, and integrations
Ensure full financial compliance, including timely and accurate reporting under IFRS/local GAAP, managing internal controls, and leading audits
Act as local finance lead, serving as compliance officer and key contact for auditors, legal advisors, and corporate stakeholders; contribute as part of the site leadership team
Your profile:
University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on manufacturing finance
At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role, or strong background in controlling/finance with initial leadership responsibility in an industrial environment - experience in managing multiple sites is preferred
Expert knowledge in cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, cost allocation, and margin optimization within manufacturing settings
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, especially SAP FI/CO; additional familiarity with MIRAS or Hyperion is a plus
Proficiency in financial reporting according to IFRS and/or local GAAP, with a solid understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and tax regulations
Advanced skills in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and modelling for production performance (e.g. OEE, scrap rates, downtime costs)
Business fluency in English and German (written and spoken), combined with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
