This is an in house Graphic Designer and Sales Support role with a sign fabrication shop in Troy. The position blends hands on design work with customer interaction and light estimating, supporting projects from concept through production.
You will work directly with customers to design signage, recommend solutions, and provide pricing. Internally, you will coordinate proofs, job flow, and production timelines. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys design, problem solving, and working with people.
This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
Design signage using Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe tools Work with customers in person and by phone to understand needs and recommend solutions Prepare pricing and estimates for signage projects Finalize proofs and release jobs into production Coordinate with internal teams to manage timelines and deadlines Manage multiple active projects while maintaining accuracy and organization Qualifications
Experience in the sign industry or a production based design environment Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite Comfortable working directly with customers Strong organizational and time management skills Professional, upbeat communication style Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Medical insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield with PPO and HMO options Dental and vision coverage Simple 401k with up to a 3% company match Paid vacation and paid holidays Optional life insurance and short and long term disability plans
