Role Description We are seeking a full-time, on-site Employment Specialist to join our team in Bronx, NY. The Employment Specialist will work directly with individuals to assess their employment needs and goals, provide job readiness training, and deliver one‑on‑one career counseling. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, creating tailored employment plans, offering skill development workshops, and connecting individuals with job opportunities and employer networks. The role also involves maintaining records, collaborating with community organizations, and providing post‑placement support for program participants to ensure long‑term success in their employment.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Communication and Customer Service to effectively engage with program participants, employers, and colleagues.
Expertise in Interviewing and Recruiting to assess job candidates and identify appropriate employment opportunities.
Experience in Training to lead employment workshops and enhance participant skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and bring a solution‑oriented approach to challenges in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with employment resources and community organizations in the Bronx area is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency with relevant digital tools and record‑keeping systems.
