Overview Coordinate data transmission, customs clearance between Atlas customers, vendors and employees to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction. Responsible for assessing training needs and requirements of vendors and company employees in cargo handling systems. Comply with all country regulatory requirements. Must have airline industry background focusing on data integrity.
Responsibilities
Ensure excellent data quality and integrity.
Investigate customs issues, fines and penalties as well as provide corrective actions with detailed follow up.
Assess training needs and requirements of vendors and company employees in cargo handling systems.
Manage timely and accurate data transmission by vendors and customers
Coordinate training and support for vendors and contractors
Audit and report on sensitive commodities, enforcement holds
Ensure compliance with Global Customs agencies through coordination with Regional Managers on new or potentially changing regulations.
In depth knowledge of ACAS, ACE, AMS, Inbond Control
Accomplish other duties as assigned by Global Customs Manager
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2-year college degree preferred
5+ years of experience in airline cargo warehouse and office supervision or management
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
Previous knowledge and understanding of global customs and air carrier regulatory compliance programs
Experience working directly with cargo management TMS systems required
Skills
In-depth knowledge of Cargo Spot/Champ systems, Cargo IMP/XML messaging and US Customs A.M.S./ACE. Inbond Compliance, closures of Inbond shipments, ACAS Filings
Canadian Customs Electronic Filing and Compliance (PACT)
European Customs Filing and Compliance (ICS2)
Chinese Customs Filing and Compliance
South American Customs Filing and Compliance (Argentina)
Japan Customs Filing and Compliance
Middle East/Africa Filing and Compliance
OFAC/BIS/Denied Party Screening knowledge
In depth knowledge of flight filing into the US while meeting regulatory timeframes
In depth knowledge of partial/split shipments, and ability to modify record
Salary Range: $62,500-$84,000
