Key Account Manager - Rare Diseases - BeNeLux

About the Role: We are partnering with a global, pharmaceutical company looking for a scientifically strong and commercially astute Key Account Manager to join their Rare Disease team.

This role is focused on building and developing long‑term relationships with specialised healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders. Through high‑quality scientific exchange and strategic collaboration, you will help ensure patients receive optimal treatment to improve their lives.

You will act as the key point of contact for cross‑functional account teams, translating brand strategy into tailored account plans while identifying opportunities to enhance patient access and product positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve business objectives within your territory and product portfolio (BeNeLux, Rare Diseases)

Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans

Translate brand strategy into actionable local tactics

Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver prioritised initiatives

Identify and address patient pathway and access challenges to drive treatment initiation and continuity

Design and execute tailored multichannel engagement strategies

Develop value‑based solutions (e.g., patient services, medical education initiatives, clinical collaborations)

Build trusted relationships with HCPs and stakeholders

Establish strategic partnerships and advocacy networks within key accounts

Maintain deep medical knowledge of Rare Diseases

Ensure full compliance with internal policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements

Key Capabilities & Experience:

Strong scientific and clinical knowledge, ideally within specialised therapeutic areas

Proven experience in key account management within pharma/biotech

Strong solution‑based selling and influencing capabilities

Excellent communication and facilitation skills

Demonstrated cross‑functional leadership and collaboration

Business planning expertise with strong organisational and prioritisation skills

Ability to gather, interpret and translate insights into action

Analytical and problem‑solving mindset

Experience in access facilitation and understanding patient referral networks

Personal leadership, resilience and emotional intelligence

Digital mindset with adaptability to evolving market dynamics
