Swell Partners provides talent solutions that empower leaders to build workforces to drive long-term success. Our resources span multiple disciplines including all aspects of marketing, product management, and technology. Our goal is to be the change agent that infuses the workforce with happy, flexible talent that will always deliver their personal best.
Responsibilities: At Swell, we value happiness at our core - it’s the most important quality to our team!
We’re looking for a relationship-driven Account Manager to lead and grow our existing contract staffing accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, oversees contractor lifecycle management, and partners closely with our recruiter to ensure exceptional delivery.
This is not a new business sales role. Instead, it’s ideal for someone who thrives in strengthening existing partnerships, managing contract details with precision, and uncovering additional hiring needs within established client relationships.
If you enjoy building trust, leading thoughtful client conversations, and operating at the intersection of people and process - this role is for you.
What You’ll Own: Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for existing clients
Lead introductory conversations with new stakeholders within existing clients
Conduct regular check‑ins to ensure satisfaction with their Swell contractors
Identify new requisitions and expansion opportunities within current clients, where possible
Contractor Lifecycle Management
Manage SOW creation and execution at assignment start
Lead extension and renewal conversations proactively
Negotiate rate adjustments and contract changes
Monitor contractor end dates and ensure seamless transitions
Field client questions related to hours, performance, or scope changes
Operational Excellence
Track contract timelines and ensure timely PO receipt
Proactively flag risks or gaps in coverage
Ensure smooth communication between client and internal team
Some Talent Acquisition Responsibilities
Partner closely with one recruiter on talent acquisition tasks, as needed
What We’re Looking For:
~3‑6 years of experience in staffing agency account management or client success
Experience managing contract staffing engagements (not just permanent placements)
Comfort with SOWs, extensions, and rate negotiations
Proven ability to grow relationships within existing accounts
Experience managing or closely directing recruiter delivery
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator who can navigate commercial conversations
What Success Looks Like:
Clients view you as a trusted partner and go‑to contact
Contractor extensions are proactive and seamless
POs and contract documentation are consistently managed without delays
Recruiter partnership is tight and aligned
Expansion within existing accounts grows naturally through strong relationships
Full‑time
40 hours per week
Remote in New York City. Some domestic travel for internal meetings required (2‑4 times per year). Some in‑person meetings in Downtown Manhattan at our major client office, as opportunities permit.
Please visit our website, if interested.
