This position is not remote but is telework eligible as determined by the agency policy. Travel required is 25% or less. Relocation expenses are reimbursed.

Duties
At the GS-07/09/11 you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the Full Performance Level (GS-12), you will:
- Resolve problems inherent in the contracting and teaming processes and provide training to junior team members.
- Coordinate contractor's requests for waivers or deviations from contract specifications.
- Perform comprehensive acquisition planning, analysis, and negotiation for repair and/or spare parts acquisitions in support of managed equipment.
- Develop the contractual strategy and acquisition plan utilizing various innovative contracting vehicles.
- Evaluate requests for equitable adjustment and special financing provisions.
- Negotiate changes in price(s), terms and conditions due to contract modifications, supplementary agreements, settlements from change orders due to defective specifications, changed site conditions(s), etc.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You must obtain and maintain eligibility for assignment or retention to a sensitive national security position as a condition of employment, regardless of the requirement to access classified.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
GS-07: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of contract administration principles, policies, regulations, practices, or procedures.
GS-09: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of contract administration principles, policies, regulations, practices, or procedures.
GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of contract administration principles, policies, regulations, practices, and/or procedures.
GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of contract administration principles, policies, regulations, practices, and procedures.
Basic Requirements: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. In addition to the above basic requirement, in lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-07: 1 full academic year of graduate education or law school or a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement GS-09: 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or master's or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D. GS-11: 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree GS-12: There is no substitute of education for experience for this series at this grade level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
