Overview
The Mechanical/Piping Designer is an onsite position working for a client in the Shreveport, LA area. Responsibilities
Interpret and analyze general designs provided by engineers. Prepare detailed designs for engineer approval. Create construction drawing packages using company standards and drafting techniques. Ensure technical accuracy and constructability of designs. Develop layouts and estimates from job scope and vendor information. Perform field verifications and P&ID walk-downs. Qualifications
Technology training in Drafting and Design from an accredited school required; Associate degree preferred. 3-5 years of refinery design experience required; 10-15 years preferred. 3-5 years experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and AutoCAD Plant 3D Software required; 10-15 years preferred. Ability to climb ladders, maneuver through pipe racks, and work at heights with a harness. Local candidates preferred; per diem considered for highly qualified non-local candidates.
