Key tasks & responsibilities
Elaborating w/w pricing strategies based on market price data, historic acquisition information, costs and value-based pricing approaches
Responsible for commercial evaluation of acquisition projects to support management decisions
Challenging commercial inputs to achieve best-cost-best-price-level (maximized EBIT) for acquisition project
Supports the acquisition manager to comply with acquire business process
Collecting, documenting, and analyzing market, offer as well as target prices (e.g. pricing landscape tool)
Responsible for regular EBIT updates and deviation analysis of acquired projects
Managing interfaces in cross-functional acquisition team to CTG, PRM and Chief Pricing Officer (CPO, if established)
Responsible for data governance for SPJ calculation grid
Support CIP of pricing processes, tools and methods
Specific responsibilities
Price Strategy and acquisition calculation
Defining, discussing, and aligning price strategies with all relevant stakeholder (AcM, PRM and CPO) based on an analysis of historic acquisition information, market price data, cost and value-based pricing
Responsible for pricing consistency between different offer rounds, volume scenarios and/or technical changes
Calculating the business case for specific acquisitions and evaluating the total cost of ownership for the customer
Responsible for sensitivity analysis of business case
Challenging all inputs of the acquisition calculation to maximize the EBIT by reducing costs and increasing the sales price
Defining, analyzing, and evaluating different business models
Challenging and documenting chances and risks in the acquisition calculation
Responsible for checking and documenting release criteria limits based on to approval matrix
Acquire Business Process & Sales Force
Supporting the acquisition manager to prepare management release meetings (SE2 and SE3)
First-level support for acquisition manager to comply with acquire business process
Responsible for commercial data input into sales force configuration for SE releases
EBIT tracking and Change Request after award •
Regular recalculation and update of acquisition calculation from SE4 until SOP
Responsible for EBIT deviation analysis
Supporting measure definition to achieve/overachieve SE4 EBIT •
Responsible for Change Request pricing
Price data base
Responsible for systematically documentation of prices from offer rounds, of customer feedback and customer target prices
Requesting won-loss-analysis after customer decision
Responsible maintaining and improving the price data base
Processes, Tools and Governance
Responsible for continuous improvement of pricing process and tools
Governance function for regional pricing teams in EU, CN, JP and US
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering with a commercial focus.
5+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or commercial sales operations.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas) and experience with business modeling.
Demonstrated understanding of market pricing dynamics and value-based pricing approaches.
Basic project management skills and a proven "Can-Do" attitude with flexibility toward Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP).
Good cooperation abilities and a strong (internal) customer orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Salesforce (CRM) and specialized data management/IT tools (customer or internal).
Advanced business modeling skills and a deep understanding of Product Lifecycle & Acquisition Management methods and tools.
Proven ability in lead others including experience in Moderation (MOD) and cross-functional cooperation.
Methodological Didactical Qualification (MDQ) or similar professional instructional/methodology training.
Previous experience in a global governance function or regional pricing environment (EU, CN, JP, or US).
