
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Indirect Tax Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $70.00 to $90.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
Manage indirect tax obligations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate filings for various tax types.
Lead audit activities by coordinating responses, gathering documentation, and resolving inquiries from tax authorities.
Maintain strong tax processes and internal controls to support compliance, efficiency, and reliable reporting.
Research tax rules and assess how regulatory changes or business activities may impact indirect tax positions.
Partner with cross‑functional teams and utilize tax technology tools to streamline workflows and support system improvements.
Requirements
At least 5+ years of experience specializing in indirect tax within corporate tax or public accounting.
Strong knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax as well as experience with global tax frameworks such as VAT or GST.
Hands‑on experience using ERP platforms and tax automation tools, particularly NetSuite and Avalara.
Proven ability to manage tax filings, audit processes, and compliance cycles from start to finish.
Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with tax technology systems and data integrations.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax information and apply it to business operations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Professional certifications such as CPA or CMI are a plus.
Prior experience in fast‑paced or technology‑focused environments and familiarity with automation tools is beneficial.
