In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, tax departments are rethinking their operations. We enhance automation by implementing transaction tax calculation engines, streamlining tax determination, calculation, and compliance processes for clients across various systems, including ERP applications, custom solutions, and popular third-party applications like Vertex and Avalara. Your Role and Responsibilities As a Senior Consultant, your responsibilities include: Enhancing clients' tax department efficiency and productivity while identifying tax savings opportunities.
Empowering tax specialists by enabling them to take control of tax decision-making.
Creating tailored solutions, coordinating technical resources, and delivering customized products that meet clients' tax needs, including: Reviewing existing tax processes to identify improvement areas
Assisting in developing compelling business cases for tax process enhancements
Supporting the evaluation and selection of indirect tax software vendors
Documenting key tax data requirements
Implementing automated solutions for indirect tax calculations and compliance
Essential Skills and Attributes Enhancing reporting capabilities to help clients assess risks and seize opportunities.
Providing strong support to project team members to ensure timely deliverable completion.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree with around 4 years of relevant work experience; or a master's degree with at least 3 years of experience.
A focus on accounting and/or relevant experience in indirect tax process improvement is preferred.
Possession of or progress toward CPA certification or legal bar membership is a plus.
Experience in indirect tax compliance (Sales/Use Tax, VAT) is beneficial.
Strong managerial, leadership, organizational, and communication skills are crucial.
Familiarity with indirect tax software like Vertex or Avalara, along with knowledge of tax data requirements for systems such as SAP and Oracle, is necessary.
Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time is required.
