
Associate Director - DocGen Lead Architect

Position Summary
As an Associate Director you will lead the development, design, maintenance, and support of the DocGen platform. DocGen is a key internal tool, currently built using Python and React, and operates across GCP and AWS. The role will drive future rearchitecting initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal user experience aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end engineering lifecycle for the DocGen platform, including design, development, deployment, maintenance, and support
Oversee rearchitecting and modernization of the tool, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies
Ensure platform security, performance, scalability, and compliance with BMS standards
Partner with cross‑functional teams (Product, Security, Operations) to define requirements, integrations, and priorities
Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and robust monitoring strategies
Maintain technical documentation and conduct code reviews
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and incident response for DocGen
Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Explore and implement innovative solutions to enhance document automation and user experience
Mentor junior and senior engineers
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years experience in software engineering
Proven expertise in Python and React
Experience in developing Gen AI applications and integrating with LLMs
Experience in developing Agentic AI workflows / applications
Strong experience with GCP and AWS (multi‑cloud deployments)
Experience leading platform architecture and cloud migration projects
Knowledge of security, scalability, and compliance in cloud environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries preferred
Experience working with global engineering teams
Background in document automation, workflow systems, or related domains
Experience with microservices, serverless, or containerized architectures
Certifications in AWS or GCP
Strong stakeholder management and change leadership
Compensation Overview
Madison - Giralda, NJ: $169,150 - $204,970
Princeton, NJ: $169,150 - $204,970
Seattle, WA: $186,070 - $225,467
Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available. Final compensation will be based on demonstrated experience.
