
Our client, a global law firm, is looking to hire an IP Case Assistant (Paralegal) on a temp to perm basis. The contract will start as a 3 month contract and then transition to a permanent hire.
Responsibilities
Prepare new client engagement letters and conflicts checks; request new client/matter numbers through the client intake process and track approvals. Index and manage products, source code, and trial exhibits. Review correspondence, scheduling orders, and calendared deadlines; update calendars as needed. Support the management of paper and electronic discovery and assist attorneys and legal specialists through all phases of discovery and trial preparation, including coordination of electronic and paper discovery, depositions, transcripts, and trial support. Create, organize, and maintain databases, privilege logs, indexes, and files containing discovery documents, physical evidence, summaries, and deposition transcripts. Obtain necessary information and materials from vendors, clients, and government agencies, including the USPTO, PAIR, and USITC EDIS. Assist with vendor invoicing as needed. Coordinate logistics and materials for depositions under the direction of Associates and Legal Specialists. Assist with and prepare for meetings with clients, witnesses, experts, and outside counsel.
