Position Summary

This position will work with the Senior Director of Broadcast Technologies in the care, maintenance, and use of the Athletic Association's Control Rooms at Sanford Stadium and Remote Broadcast locations, all video equipment, and the video infrastructure connecting the various athletic venues. Additionally, the Assistant Broadcast Engineer would be the primary on-site engineer for UGA Athletics originated broadcasts, SEC Network broadcasts, and video board shows. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Broadcast experience, including but not limited to the operation of the following: HD Cameras, HD Switchers, IP Based Intercom, Audio and Video Routers, Fiber optic transmissions. Familiarization with the following equipment: Ross production switchers, Sony Cameras, Evertz routing, Telecast and Evertz fiber converters, Evertz replay, Riedel intercom, Ross CG, Evertz MIP. Some knowledge of the engineering requirements for live sports events. Physical Demands

Stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. Sit and talk or hear. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and assist student athletes during weight training. Close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. Other Conditions

Duties/Responsibilities: Serves as a broadcast engineer that provides event day computer engineering and audio/technical support for assigned UGAA events produced from the control room and remote locations, and as a primary media point of contact once broadcast begins. Monitor the status of all broadcast equipment, and collaborate with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise. Assist in the establishment and execution of a preventive maintenance schedule for control rooms, remote equipment, and in-venue broadcast technologies. Working with internal and external production groups who may use control room and remote equipment to ensure all productions meet schedules and configuration for multiple broadcasts simultaneously. Interfacing with SEC Network and any visiting TV Networks to obtain and deliver requested feeds. Interfacing and coordinating in-house audio systems to obtain and deliver feeds. Contact Information
