
Major League Soccer (MLS) is seeking a Tax Analyst to provide tax compliance support for the League. Ideal candidates will have experience in a partnership tax environment.
Prepare, review, and coordinate the tax work papers to be provided to the service providers
Proactively interact and work closely with team members to capture information
Detailed review of work papers and tax extensions/returns from service providers and closely monitoring status, progress on federal, state, and local tax return processes
Prepare monthly/quarterly and annual income and excise tax returns for certain states and international jurisdictions
Assist with international tax compliance issues for subsidiaries in Canada, the Netherlands, & Luxembourg, and all other cross border tax matters
Resolve several open tax audits at all government agency levels
Assist with the Form 1099 compliance process
Assist with the Form 1042 compliance process Ensure accurate compliance with foreign tax laws as it relates to foreign payments and receipts based on various business deals
Identify value and improvement opportunities in the tax process
Working across the enterprise and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
Opportunity to participate in various special projects
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA required; MST desired
1-3 years of recent experience in public accounting tax practice
A good understanding of research areas and a broad knowledge of partnership tax compliance and tax accounting desired
Knowledge of SALT tax compliance desired
