You will contribute directly to the team’s core remits—QA testing, governance oversight, and process enhancements—while supporting strategic initiatives in automation and control optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Execute components of the Tax Operations Quality Assurance Testing Program
Support strategic initiatives and automation efforts to improve OTC processes
Assist in reviewing, enhancing, and maturing brokerage tax compliance controls
Participate in the design and refinement of testing criteria, sampling methodologies, and use of automation tools
Validate U.S. tax documentation (W‑8 and W‑9 series) and understand its impact across the tax processing lifecycle
Support trial runs and data validation for year‑end 1099 and 1042‑S reporting
Qualifications Required
1–3 years in tax operations working with IRS Chapters 3 (NRA), 4 (FATCA), and 61 (Backup Withholding)
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills
High attention to detail, especially when reviewing documentation or reconciling activity
Ability to manage manual and automated control processes, including QA testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred
Experience with CRS and/or Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) client tax requirements
Prior QA testing experience, including criteria creation, sampling, and the use of automation tools
Familiarity with Alteryx and/or Power BI
