The Alternatives Account Management team sits within a high-growth, strategically critical segment for S&P Global Market Intelligence. We partner with leading hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms, and private credit managers—some of the most sophisticated clients in the market.

Our clients use a broad suite of Market Intelligence solutions. We primarily represent Data & Research and Risk & Valuation Services, and collaborate closely with our Enterprise Solutions teams to deliver comprehensive, multi-product strategies. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where intellectually curious, commercially driven individuals thrive.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Own and grow client relationships

post-initial sale, leading renewals, upsells, and cross‑sell activity across a defined Alternatives book of business.

Drive strategic account execution

alongside Sales Specialists, identifying whitespace opportunities and expanding product adoption across the MI platform.

Deliver a best‑in‑class client experience:

Proactively manage client inquiries, provide product and platform training, and serve as a key point of contact to ensure seamless service delivery.

Stay ahead of client and market trends:

Track account activity, segment developments, and fund strategies to anticipate client needs and inform commercial opportunities.

Collaborate

across Customer Success, Product, and New Business Sales teams to present integrated solutions to clients.

Influence product direction:

Channel client feedback into product roadmaps and platform enhancements.

Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,817 to $85,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of post‑graduate professional experience, ideally in account management, customer success, or relationship management roles

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working with hedge funds, private equity, or private credit clients

Familiarity with market data, analytics, or financial intelligence platforms

Demonstrated track record of driving renewals, upsells, and cross‑sell initiatives

Consultative, strategic, and commercially minded

Intellectually curious and highly collaborative
