The School District of Niagara is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated individual to serve as Food and Nutrition Services Director. This position provides leadership and oversight of the district’s school nutrition program and plays an important role in supporting student health, wellness, and daily school operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare and support daily food service operations for the district including meal preparations
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal school nutrition program requirements
Plan menus in alignment with USDA guidelines and district needs
Supervise, train, schedule, and support food service staff
Manage purchasing, inventory, budgets, and required recordkeeping
Maintain accurate meal counts, reports, and program documentation
Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper equipment use
Communicate and collaborate with district administration, staff, students, and families
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma (or GED) with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant food service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in food service management or school nutrition programs
Wisconsin DPI School Nutrition GOALS Certificate (Director Track) or ability to obtain
Knowledge of USDA school meal programs and food safety regulations
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Basic computer skills and ability to learn required software systems
ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
Experience with Skyward or similar student information systems
Start Date: The district would prefer the selected candidate to begin training in April alongside the current Food Service Director to ensure a smooth transition over the summer and adequate preparation for the 2026–2027 school year.
