Responsibilities
Gather necessary information and requirements, set priorities, and prepare work for estimation. Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and labor to develop accurate production estimates. Analyze construction drawings, interpret specifications, and ensuring accurate cost projections for each elevation. Prepare detailed construction budgets by reviewing construction plans, updating specifications, and identifying costs associated with each phase of the project. Evaluate offers to purchase, cost changes, additions, and site requirements, ensuring they align with budget constraints. Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors, specify materials, identify qualified subcontractors, and negotiate pricing. Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information, and resolve cost discrepancies through data collection and analysis. Prepare special reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing cost data and project trends. Maintain high-quality service by adhering to organizational standards and procedures. Ensure continuity among corporate, division, and local teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs. Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in relevant professional societies. Work closely with Project Management to develop proposals, coordinate with Construction Management on production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequencing. Qualifications
