Salary Range: $46,000 - $47,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary The Complex Coordinator assists with all aspects of delivering a comprehensive year‑round residential program that fosters students' holistic development. This role has primary live‑in responsibility for the administrative management and student development programming in a residence hall community of 1,000 students.

Employee is required to live on‑campus in university provided apartment.

Core Responsibilities

Provides overall leadership for an assigned residential community.

Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates residential staff. Oversees staff selection, orientation, and professional development opportunities. Plans, coordinates, and monitors staff work schedules and activities, ensuring effective hall coverage, including during vacation and break periods.

Participates in professional staff recruitment, selection, training, and staff development processes, and other departmental functions and priorities.

Provides leadership and direction in developing interpersonal relationships among students in residential communities to ensure a safe, secure, and healthy living and learning environment.

Maintains consistent and direct contact with students throughout the residential community and maintains departmental visibility.

Creates engaging residential communities by overseeing the implementation of the departmental residential curriculum.

Leads residential engagement efforts through multiple avenues, including but not limited to in‑hall opportunities, large‑scale campus and athletic events, student interactions, and educational programming.

Manages department procurement cards, primarily utilized for residential programming purposes.

Maintains up‑to‑date documentation and adheres to monthly reconciliation deadlines.

Supports department SIH and LLC community collaborations regarding academic and community development initiatives.

Conducts cases utilizing Maxient to accurately update, maintain, and manage student conduct records.

Participates in the on‑call duty rotation to respond to emergencies, students in crisis, urgent customer service situations, and urgent maintenance situations.

Prepares reports on resident activities and resident status.

Coordinates with HRL Facilities on the maintenance, safety, and security of the facility.

Monitors, reports, and follows up on work order requests.

Collaborates with campus resources and key stakeholders in support of individual residents and the residential community.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

Two (2) years of related work experience.

Additional education may substitute for experience on a one‑year for one‑year basis.

This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree.

Physical Demands

Will require the ability to ascend/descend stairs to access all levels within a housing unit.

May occasionally require navigating close quarters, small‑enclosed rooms, and other small areas.

May occasionally require navigating through cluttered student rooms and/or narrow passageways.

May occasionally require moving furniture and related objects to and from the residential community or within a resident room.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.

This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
