About this position:

Advantech is seeking a Product Sales Manager to drive the commercial success of our industrial computing and embedded product portfolios. This role focuses on revenue growth, product positioning, and go-to-market execution, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering teams to expand market adoption across North America. The Product Sales Manager serves as the key link between product strategy and sales execution, supporting direct and channel sales teams with product expertise, market insight, and competitive positioning. This role is responsible for owning product sales performance, supporting customer and partner engagements, and translating market and customer feedback into actionable input for product planning and development.

Responsibilities

Driving product sales within a matrix organization of direct and indirect sales, marketing, application engineering, customization engineering, technical support, product development, supply chain, service, and manufacturing.

Responsible for the North American ownership of Advantech’s iSensing Devices, Smart I/O & communication, Edge Intelligence, and Communications Product Lines.

Develop and execute strategies to achieve profitable sales and growth in our industrial automation product lines.

Act as primary liaison between our North American sales organization and the Taiwan headquarters and factory for product business.

Responsible for product specific sales quotas including revenue forecasting.

Provide customer and market feedback to headquarters for product development needs.

Responsible for ownership of product pricing and margin control.

Responsible for competitive market intelligence for product family in North America.

Utilize remote I/O, data acquisition (DAQ), ARM-based CPU Linux gateway products & applications, MQTT, OPC UA, IIoT architecture, customized solution coordination, market trends analysis, strategic product positioning, Product Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy development & execution, new product specification & roadmap planning, and vertical market strategy execution to perform duties.

Identify, develop, and enhance the appropriate channels to market for each product line; perform vertical market strategy definition and execution for related products.

Analyze and develop potential partner relationships for the products.

Engage with marketing team to position and promote product in the market; develop marketing collateral as needed.

Prepare materials and conduct product sales assistance for direct and channel sales teams.

Assist sales by presenting products, including demonstrations, to customers; responsible for large customer project management and coordination of internal resources to provide customized solutions.

Provide product inventory planning guidance to supply chain; and deal with project solution inquiry for the remote I/O, high speed DAQ (data acquisition) and ARM-based CPU gateway product.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Product Manager, or in a related occupation.

Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following: remote I/O, data acquisition (DAQ), ARM-based CPU Linux gateway products & applications, MQTT, OPC UA, IIoT architecture, customized solution coordination, market trends analysis, strategic product positioning, Product Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy development & execution, new product specification & roadmap planning, and vertical market strategy execution.
