Job Description – CMC Shared Sales Representative – Off-Premise Focus
Countermeasures is a dynamic sales organization headquartered in Franklin, TN that partners with breweries, distilleries, and beverage suppliers to deliver long-term success strategies. Our services include Shared Sales Representatives, Key Account Management, Expansion, and Retail Marketing services. We are on the hunt for our next Shared Sales Representative!
The Shared Sales Representative is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Austin, TX. This role will focus on driving, building relationships with wholesale partners, retail accounts, and consumers to ensure brand growth and visibility. The Shared Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, conducting tastings and promotional events, and achieving sales targets. They will also leverage CRM tools to track progress and provide detailed insights into market performance.
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Actively selling and promoting a variety of products to on and off premise accounts. Primary focus within the Off‑Premise category.
Experience with HEB, Central Market, Target, C‑stores, Independent Off‑Premise, Wholefoods, Total Wine, Specs, and other Austin area Off‑Premise accounts.
Planning and executing in‑store tastings, promotional events, and trade shows to increase brand awareness.
Conducting staff training sessions at accounts to ensure thorough product knowledge and proper brand representation.
Visiting 40 accounts per week to ensure product availability, visibility, and develop strong relationships with customers.
Utilizing CRM software (VIP KARMA/Encompass) to track and monitor sales as well as report on achievements.
Attending supplier meetings and submitting weekly recaps to leadership.
Meeting and exceeding monthly KPIs and sales goals.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of beverage sales experience.
Proven ability to build relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and on‑premise accounts, restaurants and establishments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and close deals effectively.
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet sales targets.
Comfortable selling a variety of products and adapting to different customer needs.
Experience with CRM software, preferably VIP KARMA or Encompass.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Expert knowledge of the Greater Austin, TX market.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
