Dining Room Manager Qualifications
5+ years in Forbes 5‑star property or equivalent in the luxury dining segment of the industry
Proven leadership skills and commitment to excellence
Track record of guest complaint resolution
Level 1 certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers
Proven financial and business acumen; analytical skills, and ability to meet and exceed set budgets
Unparalleled passion for hospitality, food, and wine
Ability to respectfully mentor, train, develop, and hold teams accountable to expectations
Ability to exemplify choreographed dining service with finesse
Experience with Resort Suite and Tock operating systems
Dining Room Manager Responsibilities
Oversight and management of all aspects of the main dining room
Create and review weekly FOH team schedules
Oversee the management of reservation confirmations
Collaborate with leadership to address social media comments related to service issues
Manage pre‑shift messaging and oversee EOD notes as related to daily operations
Practice a consistent survey of the facility to ensure the staff and guests have everything they need to have a positive experience
