We are actively searching for a

Server Assistant

The Server Assistant at Starlite holds a pivotal support role essential to the lounge’s rhythm and operational flow. Serving as the "invisible hand" that maintains the room’s atmosphere, this individual provides critical assistance to both the service floor and the bar. Their presence ensures that every guest enjoys a seamless, upscale experience—from the first cocktail to the final check. Ultimately, the Server Assistant is responsible for upholding the "Starlite Standard" through impeccable cleanliness, swift pace, and proactive hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Atmosphere Maintenance: Prepare the lounge for service by ensuring lighting, table settings, and decor meet Starlite’s aesthetic standards.

Precision Table Side Service: Maintain tables with "silent service" techniques—discreetly removing used glassware/plates, refilling water, and anticipating guest needs without interrupting the flow of conversation.

Bar & Floor Support: Act as the bridge between the bar and the floor. Run complex cocktails with knowledge of garnishes and glassware, and ensure bartenders are stocked with polished glass, ice, and prep.

Menu & Detail Management: Keep our curated cocktail and spirits menus pristine; update chalkboards and daily features with legible, professional presentation.

Sanitation & Safety: Uphold rigorous health and safety standards. Ensure the lounge remains spotless and organized even during high-volume late-night shifts.

The "Reset": Swiftly flip tables for new arrivals, ensuring every new guest feels like the first person to sit there that evening.

Requirements & Skills:

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale cocktail lounge or luxury hotel environment.

Product Knowledge: A foundational understanding of classic cocktails, spirits, and wine service is highly preferred.

The "Hustle": Ability to remain calm, graceful, and efficient under the pressure of a fast-paced nightlife environment.

Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse, high-end clientele and a fast-moving team.

Compliance: Current Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications (e.g., LEAD/TIPS) are mandatory.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent.

2+ years of restaurant or lounge experience preferred.

Previous experience in a luxury or boutique "upper-upscale" setting is a significant plus.

Physical Requirements:

Endurance: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts in a high-energy environment.

Agility: Regularly required to bend, push, squat, and navigate a crowded lounge floor with trays.

Strength: Ability to lift and carry 25lbs (ice buckets, glass racks, liquor crates) regularly.

Flexibility: Must be available to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as the lounge schedule dictates.
