Description of Work:
Provide mental health psychology services, drug and alcohol counseling, mental health assessments and education to student‑athletes and sports programs. Provide education and prevention programming on clinical psychological issues to student athletes, coaches, athletic department staff, and other constituents. Supervise Athletic Counselors, temporary employees and student workers and assist the Director of Sport Psychology with operational tasks such as monitoring the budget, scheduling appointments and itineraries. Will need to work some evenings and weekends depending on student‑athletes’ needs and schedules.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in mental health related field and 2 years full‑time work post‑graduate degree providing mental health services to students ages 16‑24 in an educational environment.
Demonstrated contextual and cultural understanding of elite sport systems and individuals essential. Clinical/prevention experience in the areas of athlete mental health and interdisciplinary healthcare modalities required.
Eligibility to be licensed as a psychologist, LPC, LCSW, or LIMHP in the state of Nebraska within 3 months of hire required.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology preferred.
Prefer two years’ s full‑time work post‑doctoral degree providing mental health services to student‑athletes and two years’ experience providing psychological skills training for sport. Supervisory experience preferred.
Prefer applicants with a certification in the provision of psychological services in sport.
Pre‑Placement Driving Record Review Required: No
Physical Required: No
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre‑employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
Criminal History Background Check Required: Yes
