Washington’s premier eye care practice, King LASIK / K2 Vision, is accepting applications for a potential upcoming Ophthalmic Technician opening in our Vancouver, WA clinic.

Position Overview A King LASIK / K2 Vision Technician is an eye care professional who assists in assessing and counseling pre-operative and post-operative patients for laser vision correction and refractive lens exchange, under the supervision of an Optometrist and Ophthalmologist. This role requires a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and patient-focused care.

Schedule Full-time, Monday–Friday- 32-40 hours per week

Occasional short Saturday or Sunday shifts may be required for post-operative patient care. Participation in occasional Saturday or Sunday trade show events may also be required.

Occasional evening or weekend work as needed

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage: $24-$28, depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications

Previous eye care experience is an asset

Strong verbal communication and active listening skills

Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills

Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage personal stress

Team-oriented with willingness to learn and coach others

Comfortable using computers and learning new software (MS Office experience helpful)

Patience, approachability, and calm demeanor

Ability to manage patient expectations and concerns

Preferred Experience (We Are Willing to Train) Preference will be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

Experience as a surgical technician

Experience performing refractions

Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as: IOL Master, OCT, and Pentacam

Refraction and related testing

Job Duties

Provide superior customer service and patient care

Perform diagnostic testing and ensure quality and accuracy of all charting

Use appointment and patient management software and patient charts to document eye health clearly and accurately

Provide counseling and education regarding procedures and available technology

Support technician duties related to laser vision correction and refractive lens exchange

Promote King LASIK / K2 Vision technology appropriately and professionally
