Job Summary The Senior Database Administrator will serve as a hands‑on technical leader responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of Unleashed Brands' database infrastructure. This role supports our proprietary technology platform and surrounding systems — including Salesforce, PowerBI, and integrated applications — through proactive optimization, production support, and data pipeline development. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a bias toward action, and the ability to partner cross‑functionally to ensure our technology delivers exceptional experiences for franchisees and internal teams across all seven brands.

Responsibilities Database Administration & Performance

Proactively monitor, tune, and optimize database performance across production and lower environments.

Manage database infrastructure including backups, disaster recovery, and security protocols.

Develop and maintain indexing strategies, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.

Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and health metrics for all database systems.

Support production deployments and coordinate with DevOps partners on release execution.

ETL & Data Pipeline Development

Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to support analytics and reporting needs.

Partner with the analytics function to ensure data integrity and availability in PowerBI.

Support data integrations across the core platform, Salesforce, and third‑party systems.

Production Support & Troubleshooting

Serve as escalation point for database‑related production issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, data integrity issues, and system outages.

Participate in on‑call rotation as needed for critical system support.

Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with Product and development teams on mass data updates, configuration work, and environment management.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to DBA team members.

Document processes, procedures, and technical standards to eliminate tribal knowledge.

Contribute to architectural decisions and capacity planning.

Skills/Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.

Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (design, administration, performance tuning).

Hands‑on experience with T‑SQL development, stored procedures, and query optimization.

Experience with ETL development (SSIS or equivalent).

Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery strategies, and high availability configurations.

Ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues under pressure.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Experience with cloud database services, preferably Azure SQL or Azure‑based data platforms (Fabric experience a plus).

Experience supporting SaaS or multi‑tenant platforms preferred.

Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and analytics support preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Success Measures

Database systems are stable, performant, and proactively maintained—shifting from reactive firefighting to proactive optimization.

Development and QA teams are unblocked by environment or data availability issues.

ETL processes run reliably with minimal manual intervention.

Cross‑functional partners (Product, Analytics, Support) have confidence in data availability and integrity.

Clear documentation exists for systems, processes, and runbooks.

PII and data security protocols are consistently followed across all environments.
