Description 360 Live Media is looking for a

Digital Designer

who enjoys working across formats and bringing ideas to life on screen. In this role, you’ll build websites and landing pages, create motion and video content, and support the development of integrated digital campaigns from the first idea to final delivery. This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys variety, is comfortable moving between mediums, and takes pride in work that looks great, performs well, and is built to last.

We bring together the well-established event services of Smithbucklin and the innovative strategies of 360 Live Media to deliver total event management for any type of industry convening. From smart strategy to flawless execution, our integrated service delivery model elevates the experience for event organizers looking to modernize their approach, optimize their impact, and grow the show. 360 Live Media is a Smithbucklin company with offices in Chicago and Washington, DC. We are proud to work with many of the largest and fastest growing events in the world, including 30 of the top 250 trade shows and 17 of the Fastest/Next 50 events. While a majority of our engagements center around association events, we also support corporate clients with key marketing and event services. What’s more, we frequently provide organizational strategy, branding, marketing, and sales services beyond events and in support of broader growth initiatives. Whether association or corporate, event, credential, or membership, our focus remains on helping clients accomplish their mission, whatever that may be.

What You Will Do

Design and build responsive websites and landing pages using platforms like Webflow, WordPress, and HubSpot

Build and maintain reusable web components and scalable templates to ensure brand consistency and efficiency across client websites

Create motion graphics for digital campaigns including animated logos, text treatments, social media ads, and short explainer animations using After Effects

Concept, edit, and produce short-form videos (15–30 seconds) for social media and digital ads optimized for platform-specific formats using Premiere Pro

Concept, edit, and produce long-form videos (1–2 minutes) for event recaps and brand campaigns

Design digital graphics for web, email, and social marketing campaigns

Adapt and extend brand systems, logos, and event themes across web and digital marketing touchpoints

Prepare and optimize assets for web performance, accessibility, and cross-platform delivery

Collaborate with marketing, strategy, and content teams to translate messaging into visuals

Manage multiple projects with clear organization, file structure, and deadlines

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

4+ years of professional experience in digital design or multimedia design

Strong visual design fundamentals (layout, typography, hierarchy, brand systems)

Proficiency in Figma for web design, prototyping, and design system development

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles with ability to customize and troubleshoot front-end code.

Proven experience designing and building websites in Webflow and/or WordPress

Solid video editing and motion graphics skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects)

Understanding of responsive design, CMS workflows, and web performance basics

Portfolio showing both web work and video/motion work

Ability and willingness to work from the Washington, D.C. office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with occasional travel to client offices or events.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous agency experience or experience working in a multi-client environment

Experience building campaign or event landing pages

Familiarity with analytics, performance metrics, or conversion-focused design principles

Light 3D, advanced animation, or interactive motion experience

Our hybrid environment offers you the option to work from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40‑hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines. Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $75,000-80,000.
