Summary/Objective Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Enrollment Services Specialist serves as the liaison for current and prospective students in processing admissions and registrar-related documents. Answers questions in person, via the Internet, U.S. mail, or by phone regarding admissions and registration. Coordinates with the Director of Admissions to facilitate the consistent delivery of admissions and registration services.

In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.

Essential Functions

Assist the Director of Admissions in answering questions from visitors and telephone calls; greet visitors professionally and courteously while working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment.

Provide intake services by interviewing prospective students, providing admissions requirements, and sharing information with the Director of Admissions.

Adhere to federal, state, local, and institutional laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance with FERPA.

Serve as the liaison for various academic departments to support enrollment processes, including Admissions/Registration.

Respond to applicants via telephone and/or by e‑mail. Assist the Director of Admissions in meeting enrollment goals; track enrollment progress, compile/update data, create reports, and report information as needed.

Assist the Director of Admissions and Registrar with uploading prospective student documents to the university’s student management system.

Assist new students with troubleshooting issues with email, learning management system, and student management system.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand.

Required Education and Experience

Associate degree—any field (bachelor’s degree preferred).

Two years of experience working in a higher education institution (preferred).

Work Environment

Work is primarily indoors, but at times it may be required to be in an outdoor environment when traveling between the clinic and the campus.

Will be exposed to frequent noise caused by telephones, office machines, student interns, and patient movement.

Standard campus business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday for full‑time employment. Work hours are agreed upon for part‑time employment. Some occasional weekends may be required.

The University Clinic is a “drug and alcohol‑free” workplace. Applicants and employees may be required to take a drug and/or alcohol test at any time.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

A background check is required for this position.

Applicant may be given an assessment test to measure English, math, and analytical skills.

Professional and personal references may be requested.
