Overview The Golf Shop Merchandiser is a key position in El Caballero's Golf Operation. The Merchandiser will be responsible for the success of the golf retail operation.

Experience Required

Minimum of 2-year experience in retail environment, golf facility experience preferred.

A fundamental knowledge of retail and merchandising. Knowledge of golf products is preferred but not mandatory.

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Proficient with technology including inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.

Dependable, service-oriented and organized.

Task driven and able to multi-task. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

Excellent Communication Skills both in-person, over the phone and over email.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for selecting and purchasing a desirable and appropriate array of apparel and accessories, staying within open-to-buy plan parameters.

Responsible for following an organized system for receiving, tagging, billing, returning and crediting merchandise.

Checking in merchandise through club software, following club guidelines on pricing to ensure proper margins, and turning in paperwork to accounting all within due dates for company invoices.

Assist members with all special ordering needs. Place, track, and bill all special orders ensuring proper follow-up as needed.

Conduct accurate and timely physical inventory counts.

Maintain a visible presence, greet all guests warmly upon arrival and exceed member service expectations.

Keep a well-organized shop as well as back-office space. Maintain retail displays, replenishing and rearranging stock as necessary.

Coordinate all merchandise for member and outside events, ensuring timely delivery and proper billing.

Execute merchandise plans based on seasonal buys.

Work cohesively with golf operations staff, helping with any member or guest needs.

Comply with all Club rules and regulations.

Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
