Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase strong organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be
$15.05‑$17.05 , depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours are between
2‑4 hours per week .
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You must use the technology for daily work and stay in communication with your supervisor via reporting time, feedback, and surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.
Holiday support:
During seasonal demand, you may work additional days and extended hours during the week. For holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, including weekends.
Department resets:
Sometimes you will be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. You will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
One Team Vision:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who support one another in their territories.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You may also kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years old.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Can lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Can operate a digital hand‑held device to open, read documents, and interpret information.
Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Consistent transportation to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
