
Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional supports the Head Golf Professional in daily operations, including managing the tee sheet, supervising outside service staff, conducting lessons, and overseeing merchandising. Responsibilities often involve running tournaments and ensuring high-quality customer service while maintaining the pro shop and practice facilities.
Experience Required
Registration in the PGA Apprentice Program preferred.
Previous experience at a golf facility.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with POS systems, tee sheet software (e.g., Golf Genius, Clubessential), and Microsoft Office.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations, including tee times, check-ins, and monitoring pace of play.
Assist with purchasing, displaying, and selling golf merchandise; maintain inventory records.
Help organize, set up, and execute tournaments and outings.
Assist in training and supervising outside service staff (starters, rangers, cart attendants).
Address guest inquiries and ensure a high‑quality experience.
