Role Summary
Field-based role responsible for executing institutional brand strategy in an assigned territory and developing strategic relationships with hospitals, IDNs, academic institutions, outpatient accounts, long-term care facilities, and specialty private practices to maximize short- and long-term sales performance. The role centers on placing the patient at the center of efforts while operating within applicable laws, policies, and the company code of conduct. Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, and related metrics to meet or exceed objectives. Create, develop, execute, and monitor strategic geography business plans. Determine appropriate department, channel, HCP focus and frequency by account to deliver on sales objectives. Align resources to support tactic execution and adjust as needed. Proactively and continually aspire to serve customer needs and expectations, building trusted relationships and achieving win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop professional relationships and differentiate the Anti-Infective portfolio’s value proposition at all levels (C‑Suite, physicians, hospital staff, and support personnel) within accounts to maximize brand performance. Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments and dynamics, accounts, disease states, product, clinical and sales expertise and share market intelligence with in‑field team, brand team and sales manager to align and optimize strategy and execution. Proactively collaborate across multiple departments within healthcare institutions and across organizations. Work with cross‑functional partners to differentiate the value proposition and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications
Preferred: 3 years pharmaceutical, medical, health care, infusion or diagnostic sales experience. Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business‑related field, or equivalent. Proven track record of success in selling and exceptional presentation skills. Demonstrates in‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders. Operates effectively in a matrix environment with strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools. Builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams. Leads by example, consistently displaying positive behaviors and peer coaching through changing and challenging environments. Any governmental and/or legal mandatory certification requirements as required by respective country’s laws and regulations (if applicable). English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non‑English speaking countries).
