What You’ll Do As a Member Service Representative I, you’ll be the friendly face of OURCU, helping members handle their everyday financial needs with confidence and care. From processing deposits, withdrawals, and payments to answering account questions and helping members explore credit union products, you’ll help bring our People Helping People philosophy to life.

In This Role, You’ll

Provide professional, efficient, and accurate teller services, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and cash advances

Balance your cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly and accurately

Assist members with account questions, changes, and updates

Promote and explain OURCU products and services that fit members’ needs—always with a member‑first approach

Maintain the confidentiality, security, and professionalism expected in a financial environment

Collaborate with your teammates to keep operations smooth, secure, and efficient

Support a welcoming branch environment where members feel recognized and valued

Prior banking or credit union experience is a plus, but not required—what matters most is your proven success working directly with people and your passion for delivering exceptional service.

Key Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

6 months‑2 years of experience in customer or member service (cash handling experience preferred)

Excellent communication, math, and problem‑solving skills

Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word and Excel, and standard office equipment

Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct

Bilingual skills a plus!

Target starting pay: $17.68–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Location & Schedule This is a full‑time, in‑person role based at our Downtown Shelton Branch. The schedule is Monday through Friday:

8:45 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. (Fridays until 6:15 p.m.)
