Interim Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
About the Company
Respected food distributor
Industry Food & Beverages
Type Privately Held
About the Role
The Company is in need of an Interim FP&A Consultant to provide high-caliber support in a short-term engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for building out forward-looking capabilities and addressing critical forecasting blind spots. This role is pivotal in helping the organization, which operates on a global scale and is heavily data-driven, to transition from a reliance on spreadsheets and backward-looking tools to achieve real-time, accurate forecasting. Key tasks include developing a high-confidence budget, enhancing cash flow models, improving dashboards, and synthesizing data for executive-level reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic financial management, experience with mid-to-late career management, and a proven track record in supporting companies through transaction processes.
Applicants for this role at The Company should possess a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree, and have at least 10 years of experience in FP&A. The role requires expert-level skills in Excel, and experience with SQL-based tools and dashboarding software is highly valued. Industry expertise in complex inventory and distribution, particularly in the context of global imports and customer segmentation, is essential. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to navigate sensitive internal dynamics and have a strategic mindset that connects finance to operations. Spanish language proficiency is a strong preference for this Miami-based position.
