global provider of advanced precision metrology systems
in their search for a
Metrology Specialist
to drive growth across
New England and New York . This mid-level, territory-owned role is focused on full-cycle sales of capital metrology equipment, including vision systems, optical comparators, and force/material testing solutions. The position combines distributor management with direct engagement of key end-user accounts across high-precision manufacturing industries. Key Responsibilities:
Achieve territory order and revenue targets through structured territory planning and execution Develop and support authorized distributor partners through joint sales calls, training, and opportunity reviews Identify, qualify, and close new business within medical device, aerospace, automotive, job shops, and general manufacturing sectors Conduct onsite and virtual product demonstrations aligned to customer quality and production requirements Coordinate application studies, sample evaluations, and technical validations with internal specialists Maintain accurate CRM pipeline, forecasting, and account plans Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback to sales leadership Represent the organization at trade shows, distributor events, and industry forums What They’re Looking For:
3–7 years of B2B technical or capital equipment sales experience Background in
metrology, precision measurement, or related industrial automation technologies Working knowledge of dimensional inspection practices (vision systems, optical comparators, CMMs, force/material testing, etc.) Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T Experience working through distributors or manufacturer’s representatives Strong consultative selling skills and ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles Excellent communication and presentation skills Highly organized with strong territory management discipline Comfortable with
