INSIDE SALES (OMH) - On Site, Bartlett, IL Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

As an Inside Sales – OMH professional at Optibelt Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in advancing revenue growth and sustaining long term customer partnerships within our distribution channel. This position serves as a critical extension of the field sales organization, ensuring disciplined follow-up, thoughtful opportunity management, and professional customer engagement. We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional who demonstrates sound judgment, a strong sense of accountability, and a consistent commitment to excellence in all sales interactions. The primary purpose of this role is to drive incremental revenue growth by managing leads, quotes, and sub-threshold sales opportunities while reinforcing Optibelt’s value proposition across assigned distribution accounts. This position ensures that opportunities progress efficiently through the sales cycle, recurring business is protected, and internal sales resources are deployed effectively and strategically.

Your Primary Responsibilities as Inside Sales – OMH

Cultivate and expand business relationships within assigned distribution accounts to drive sustained sales growth.

Execute timely, persistent, and strategic follow-up leads, quotations, and open opportunities to advance them toward closure.

Independently manage and close smaller or sub-threshold opportunities, allowing field sales teams to focus on complex and high value engagements.

Qualify and prioritize inbound leads generated through marketing initiatives, industry events, CRM insights, and customer service inquiries.

Serve as the primary day to day sales contact for assigned customers, delivering responsive, knowledgeable, and professional support.

Consistently articulate and reinforce Optibelt’s product value, service reliability, and partnership approach during customer interactions.

Collaborate closely with Optibelt’s Sales Managers to align sales strategies and account execution.

Other Responsibilities, Reporting and Performance Metrics

Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation of all sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunity of progress within the CRM system.

Ensure that every lead, inquiry, and customer request receives prompt attention and appropriate follow up.

Provide regular, data driven updates to sales leadership regarding pipeline health, account performance, and growth opportunities.

Actively participate in weekly sales meetings, training programs, and strategic planning discussions. Support internal reporting and forecasting efforts related to sales performance, customer engagement, and territory execution.

Skills and Requirements

Demonstrated experience in inside sales, account management, or customer facing sales roles, preferably within an industrial or distribution environment.

Strong outbound communication capabilities with the confidence to initiate, guide, and advance sales conversations.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

High level of organization, attention to detail, and disciplined follow through in a fast-paced sales environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications (Sugar, CRM).

Coachable mindset with intellectual curiosity and a willingness to continuously develop product and industry knowledge.

A college degree is preferred; however, relevant experience and a proven record of sales effectiveness will be considered with an HS Diploma or GED.

Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the VP-Urethane Division.

Travel and Industry Engagement This role is primarily based in Bartlett, Illinois. On-site, Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm. Limited travel may be required for internal meetings, training initiatives, or select customer or industry engagements as business needs evolve.
