
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Review quote to verify what was sold to the client.
Review design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, and supplier information.
Perform computer layouts using specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, line list and supplier information.
Learn and complete computer drawings, Production Equipment: General Arrangements plan and elevation, P&IDs, skid, and vessels.
Create drawings in CadWorx and in AutoCad.
Correct and release drawings and vessel calcs to shop for fabrication.
Develop Bills of Material relative to design documentation.
Run ASME code calculations for vessels (e.g., Compress Codeware program).
Check drawings dimensionally.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Perform other functions/duties as required.
Required Education or Minimum Level
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate Degree preferred or Technical Degree
Experience
8+ years designing and documenting mechanical, pipe, structural and civil experience
Working knowledge in compression, production equipment and process equipment
Experience in related industry
Software Knowledge
Proficient using 3‑D CadWorx design
Proficient with the complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Proficient with email system, Microsoft Outlook preferred
AutoCAD
Skills
Ability to learn and develop system design CAD files or drawings in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational and planning skills
Ability to perform tasks with minimal guidance or supervision
Physical Power
Walks, sits, stands in place, arm/wrist/hand movement, lifts
Must be able to work under deadline pressure
Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
