The RAC will be able to answer basic revenue related questions regarding the location(s) in which they are required to audit./ppJob duties:/pulliRead and understand tariff and contract pricing./liliAudit railroad revenue moves./liliCorrectly apply receivable and payable charges per contract specifications./liliEnsure proper entry (either manual or automated) of all invoices for corresponding billing periods./liliGenerate invoices and send to customers as soon as they are created./liliRespond to any invoice disputes timely./liliEnter and maintain charge rules and charge codes within operating systems for all current and future contracts and tariffs./liliApplying common sense, such as the ability to create and analyze reports to come to conclusions./liliBe able to meet or exceed all internal and external customer needs./liliHandle multiple projects at once, while ensuring everything gets completed timely./liliOther responsibilities may be assigned, as required./li/ulpThe work is performed under the direct supervision of the Management of Revenue Accounting./ppKnowledge, skills and abilities:/pulliStrong understanding of Watco foundation principles and ability to impress upon peers their value contribution./liliCreate positive CUSTOMER FIRST culture and atmosphere across all departments through long term relationships internally and externally./liliProfessionally communicate with all departments and levels of management within the organization with a strong positive attitude./liliDesire to only provide reliable information and willingness to understand information to the core of its being./liliAbility to work independently or as a team with a high degree of adaptability and organizational skills./liliAbility to read and interpret documents such as contracts, tariffs, procedure manuals, emails, and workflows./liliAbility to create reports to analyze and share internally and externally./liliAbility to understand detailed conditions of a contract and translate those conditions into system rules to apply revenue and payables correctly for system automation./liliAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs, and pivot tables./liliAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form./liliAbility to handle problems involving several concrete variables in dynamic situations./liliAbility to use Microsoft programs proficiently, such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams./liliAbility to use software such as SAP, RMI, WATSS, and any other software systems necessary to perform job functions (strongly preferred, but not expected). Training will be provided; however, individual is responsible for learning to proficiency./liliBe able to easily jump between multiple software systems to work through tasks./liliAbility to prioritize, multi-task and keep track of open projects/tasks that need to be completed./liliMust be a self-starter with the ability to stay on task without constant supervision./liliMust work well as team player with a positive attitude./li/ulpWork environment/conditions:/pulliThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
