The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $58,100 USD - $107,900 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. You will contribute to the development of next-generation tax software that leverages agentic AI to modernize tax preparation and review workflows while maintaining professional oversight and regulatory compliance.You will work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and quality assurance teams to collect, analyze, and prioritize requirements from external taxing authorities and internal stakeholders, translating those requirements into accurate and timely software enhancements. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that tax law changes and authoritative guidance are correctly implemented across both traditional GoSystem Tax functionality and AI-assisted Ready to Review workflows.This position requires a forward-looking approach to tax software development, supporting the implementation of tax law and workflow changes ahead of the traditional filing season. Depending on project needs, you will perform a combination of technical implementation and testing analyst activities to validateCoCounsel platform.**About the Role****In this opportunity as a Tax Analyst, you will:****Day-to-Day Responsibilities*** Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams (product management, engineering, quality assurance, and support) to stay current on tax law changes across applicable jurisdictions and ensure timely incorporation into GoSystem Tax and Ready to Review.* Monitor federal and state taxing authority guidance, including IRS and state agency updates, through Checkpoint and other authoritative sources to identify and assess upcoming tax law and regulatory changes.* Analyze tax forms, instructions, and related statutes and regulations to ensure tax software content remains accurate, compliant, and up to date.* Contribute to the design and enhancement of client-facing interfaces, including input and output screens, across traditional GoSystem Tax functionality and AI-assisted Ready to Review workflows.* Implement approved tax law and product changes within existing tax software using internal development tools, applying basic programming and configuration skills as required.* Document and communicate functional designs, business requirements, and system flow specifications to software engineers and other technical partners.* Execute functional and regression testing to validate software changes, including AI-enabled workflows, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.* Develop and maintain user-facing help content and documentation, partnering with technical writers to deliver clear and accurate guidance within the software.* Provide internal support on an as-needed basis, including responding to inquiries related to tax law implementation, software functionality, and workflow behavior.**About You**You’re a fit for the role of **Tax Analyst,** if you have the following required qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Computer Science or equivalent degree* Up to 2 years of recent tax preparation experience or experience providing technical support to end users of tax software* Strong communication and computer skills**Desired Experience*** Certified Public Accountant (CPA)· Enrolled Agent (EA)* Up to two years of tax preparation experience* Experience with electronic filing of tax returns a plus* Federal, State, city, and local income tax preparation a plus* Corporate and Partnership experience a plus#LI-DS4 that delivered solutions meet internal standards, external regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
