Join the Reimbursable Accounting Group (RAG) and put your skills and abilities to work! The RAG is engaged in providing critical services to California employers by resolving benefit charge issues impacting Reimbursable, Tax Rated, or Combined Wage accounts by ensuring the UI benefit charges were made correctly. The RAG also ensures the timely and accurate processing of Benefit Charge Protests, Petitions and Hearings workloads to ensure accounts are properly charged. About This Role
Successful candidates will have a combination of great analytical and communication skills and good judgment. They will perform a mixture of routine to complex, difficult, and sensitive assignments involving Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefit claims and payment issues resulting from erroneous benefit payments and system failures. They will process employer protests, petitions and hearings related to the Statement of Reimbursable Benefit Charges, DE 428R/F; and process any necessary updates/adjustments to employer accounts in accordance with established guidelines of the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC). This position is headquartered in Downtown Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. RAG's location is within walking distance to Light Rail, farmer's markets during the summer months, the Golden 1 Center, and an eclectic collection of retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
