
EnerMech is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Benefits Specialist to join our onsite HR team. This role will be responsible for the administration and day-to-day support of employee benefit programs, including health insurance through CIGNA and retirement plans through Fidelity. The Benefits Specialist will serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries and ensure smooth coordination with vendors and compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Administer group health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.
Serve as the point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits and claims.
Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HR systems.
Partner with CIGNA and Fidelity to ensure accurate plan administration and resolve issues.
Coordinate and support the open enrollment process.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
Maintain accurate records and perform regular audits of benefits data.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in benefits administration.
Hands‑on experience with vendor & relationship maintenance is required.
Knowledge of relevant benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS platforms preferred.
High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
