Although this role is remote, the client requires the selected candidate to visit their

McHenry, IL office at least once per month, and possibly more often.

Therefore, the candidate should be willing to relocate to the

McHenry area

if not already local!

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, preparing accurate cost estimates, and managing the bid process for commercial roofing, waterproofing and sheet metal projects. This role combines technical knowledge, customer interaction, and sales strategy to drive growth and profitability.

Qualifications: • 5-10 years proven experience in commercial construction (roofing or architectural metal preferred) estimating and sales role. • Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up, metal, etc.) and/or metal panel systems • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Industry Experience:

- Domain Expertise: Proven experience estimating and bidding on large-scale commercial roofing projects, including multi-million-dollar projects, with strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up, metal, etc.) and ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.

- Market Experience: Willingness and ability to travel to job sites in McHenry, IL area and preferably local or willing to relocate to McHenry, IL due to monthly office visits requirement.
