Now Hiring: Sales Estimator (Commercial Roofing / Sheet Metal) **

Location: ** McHenry, IL 60050 (Remote Only)

Compensation: ** $91,000 – $130,000

Bachelor’s Degree

Important: ** This role is remote, but you must visit the McHenry, IL office at least once per month (possibly more). Candidates should be willing to relocate to the McHenry area if not already local.

Role Summary **
Drive growth by preparing accurate, competitive bids and managing the full estimating/bid process for commercial roofing, waterproofing, and sheet metal projects. This role blends estimating, client interaction, and sales strategy.
**
Key Responsibilities **
Build estimates from plans/specs; perform site inspections as needed
Use estimating tools to price labor, materials, equipment, subs
Respond to RFQs/RFPs, present proposals, and support contract negotiations
Coordinate handoff from estimating to operations; attend pre-bid/job meetings
Track market and competitor pricing trends

Must Have **
5–10 years estimating + sales experience in commercial construction (roofing/architectural metal preferred)
Experience bidding large-scale, multi-million-dollar commercial projects
Strong knowledge of roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up, metal) and/or metal panel systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and construction docs
Strong communication/negotiation skills; able to travel to job sites as needed
