
Job Description Summary
GEV’s Consulting services is seeking a Sales Leader to drive growth for our long‑term grid planning software across North America. This role will lead sales strategy and commercial execution for system operators, utilities and developers in the region. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise software sales within power markets and strong relationships across the North American utility and system operator ecosystem
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
Own and execute the North American sales strategy, driving new customer acquisition and expansion of existing utility and system operator accounts
Build and maintain senior relationships with ISOs / RTOs, regulatory stakeholders and utilities
Lead sales cycles, including RFPs, pilots, evaluations and contract negotiations, navigating procurement processes and aligning sales strategy with regulatory and budget approval timelines
Partner closely with product, engineering and customer success teams to ensure solutions meet North American grid planning requirements
Maintain deep knowledge of long‑term and regional transmission planning, interconnection and resource adequacy planning and integrated systems planning processes
Represent the company at North American industry conferences, working groups and customer events
Accurately manage pipeline, forecasting and revenue reporting to executive leadership
Required Qualifications
10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with a strong focus on utilities, grid software or power system technologies
Proven track record selling software solutions to utilities, ISOs / RTOs in the U.S. and Canada
Strong understanding of North American system operator and utility planning processes, including regional transmission planning, interconnection studies, reliability and long‑term planning cycles
Experience navigating regulated markets, public procurement and utility governance structures
Existing relationships with utilities, ISOs / RTOs or grid planning stakeholders in North America
Excellent executive communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Desired Characteristics
Experience selling long‑term grid or transmission planning software, power system modeling, market simulation or analytics platforms, familiarity with FERC orders and NERC reliability standards, Canadian provincial utility planning frameworks
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs or projects

For candidates applying to a U.S.‑based position, the pay range for this position is between $151,400.00 and $252,200.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
