Human Resources Specialist

search in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles area. The Human Resources Specialist provides day-to-day HR support for the Firm’s Southern California offices, working closely with the HR Manager and partnering with office leadership. This is an administratively strong role with broad HR exposure, ideal for someone who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow.

Responsibilities Talent acquisition and onboarding:

Support recruiting coordination (scheduling, candidate communications, posting support, process tracking)

Manage onboarding logistics and documentation

Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure completion of required personnel paperwork

HR operations and employee support:

Maintain accurate employee records and update data in the HRIS

Support timesheet processing and related administrative workflows

Handle filing, document management, and general HR administrative support

Benefits, leaves, and employee programs:

Provide support related to benefits administration and employee questions, as needed

Assist with leaves of absence and workers’ compensation tracking and documentation

Help coordinate HR programs and events such as staff appreciation initiatives and recognition activities

Offboarding and HR processes:

Support offboarding workflows and exit processes, including exit interviews as needed

Provide administrative support for performance review cycles and compliance-related processes

Professional standards:

Handle confidential information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism

Deliver consistently high-quality work and service in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

2 to 3+ years of HR and/or administrative experience in a professional office setting preferred (law firm, CPA firm, architecture/engineering firm, consulting, etc.)

Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and a service-oriented mindset

Compensation and Details

Starting range for Los Angeles: $68,000 to $80,000
