Senior Database Administrator (DBA)
to lead the management, optimization, and strategic oversight of our enterprise database environments. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, availability, security, and integrity of systems built on
Oracle
and
Microsoft SQL Server , while also supporting complex data integration processes leveraging
Informatica PowerCenter .
This position is ideal for a database professional who thrives in high-availability environments, understands enterprise-scale architecture, and brings deep technical expertise in performance tuning, data integrity, and disaster recovery planning.
What You’ll Do As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the health, stability, and optimization of mission‑critical database systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Administering, monitoring, and optimizing Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments
Managing database performance tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and capacity planning
Overseeing database backup, recovery, replication, and high‑availability configurations
Supporting and optimizing ETL workflows and data integrations utilizing Informatica PowerCenter
Designing and implementing database security, access controls, and compliance safeguards
Managing database patching, upgrades, migrations, and environment refreshes
Collaborating with development, DevOps, and BI teams to support application deployments and data architecture initiatives
Troubleshooting complex production issues and performing root cause analysisEnsuring data integrity, consistency, and reliability across environments
Developing and maintaining documentation for database configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
Supporting audit requirements and regulatory compliance initiatives
Recommending and implementing database architecture improvements to enhance scalability and performance
Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members
Participating in after‑hours support or maintenance activities as needed
What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a technically advanced DBA with deep hands‑on expertise and a strong understanding of enterprise database architecture.
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience administering Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise environments
Strong proficiency in SQL performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
Experience supporting ETL processes, particularly using Informatica PowerCenter
Expertise in backup/recovery strategies, high‑availability configurations, and disaster recovery planning
Experience implementing database security standards and access controls
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare or health plan environments
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in data management
Experience supporting large‑scale data warehouse environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
