Duties
At the GS-5/7/9 you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the Full Performance Level (GS-12), you will perform the following:
You will resolve problems inherent in the contracting and teaming processes and provide training to junior team members.
You will coordinate contractor's requests for waivers or deviations from contract specifications.
You will perform comprehensive acquisition planning, analysis, and negotiation for repair and/or spare parts acquisitions in support of managed equipment.
You will develop the contractual strategy and acquisition plan utilizing various innovative contracting vehicles.
You will evaluate requests for equitable adjustment and special financing provisions.
You will negotiate changes in price(s), terms and conditions due to contract modifications, supplementary agreements, settlements from change orders due to defective specifications, changed site conditions(s), etc.
Requirements
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
